I love my job. Qualifying as a driving instructor in 2002, I genuinely enjoy helping people.  Over the years many customers have remarked on how I have helped them change their lives, not just by gaining a driving licence!

Coaching and client centred learning not only helps develop driving, but many aspects of people’s lives.  I help enable my customers to analyse their thoughts/feelings/barriers to reach solutions to mastering different driving skills.

I especially enjoy helping people with dyslexia, dyspraxia, and autism.  My own daughter struggled with her learning at school, solely because “one size doesn’t fit all”.  Her motto: “I’m not dumb, I’m different” has enabled me, as a learning provider, to adapt my teaching/coaching methods to suit all individuals.

I am also, of course, passionate about transferring my skill of driving to my learners.  Driving is a skill; it can be picked up quite quickly by some people.  But my passion is to enhance that basic skill to provide further understanding into driver behaviour and attitude to keep us all safe on the road for life.

Having been in the teaching industry for over 30 years, I take great pride in my work. I offer a high level of instruction and I want all my pupils to feel they are in a calm and safe environment in their lessons no matter how stressed some may feel, that with every lesson not only do they progress with their driving but with their confidence too, whether they be a learner or refreshing their skills.

I understand not everyone finds driving easy and it can be particularly challenging for my pupils with anxiety, dispraxia and autism. I strive to make all my pupils feel that driving is possible, that they can acieve the skills to not only pass their test but be a confident and safe driver for life.
